Today

With the weather being cold and snowy, we have been staying inside and coming up with all kinds of fun ideas to keep busy.  The great thing is that you have been coming up with tons of good ideas all on your own:

You're an astronaut:

“This is my astronaut hat mommy”

The best part - after you put the pot on your head, you said "This is my astronaut hat mommy".  Love the talking.

Speaking of talking, you amaze me everyday with how well you are talking.  You had a bunch of tummy "issues" and you told me each time that you needed to go "Sit on the potty mommy" and that "My belly button hurts"   I LOVE that you are using whole sentences to verbalize your needs and feelings.  That is huge!  HUGE!

Other funny things you say:

When you walk into a room, you say "What's going on in here?"  (guessing you got that one at school).

And "I can't do it" (when asking you to wear something you absolutely refuse to wear)

Yesterday you were watching Lalaloopsy and there is part that one of the girls does something and then laughs and in the most sincerest tone you said to yourself, "That's not funny".

I'm trying to say no to you ONLY when you are doing something you shouldn't be doing because you are going through this phase (I really hope it's a phase) where you apologize for EVERYTHING. So that's not cool.  Hopefully, when I write your FOUR year old letter I can say that you don't do that anymore.

Speaking of FOUR, when we ask you how old you are going to be on your birthday you 70% of the time say FOUR and 30% of the time say Rapunzel (because that it the kind of party you have requested)

ANYWHO, other than all the awesome talking and being an astronaut (I ordered you a suit - don't tell yourself), you are loving to press the button on the camera  and reading again.  I LOVE that you are saying "Read books mommy?"

One last thing:  You were playing this new Dora game on the computer and at the end of the game you have to put the story in order and at first I thought that you were going to ask for help because you just kind of stared at the sorting cards.  But then you totally talked me through the whole thing, "First horsey. Then, cave. Then swim on water. Then go up the hill. Last, save the books"  I was EXTREMELY impressed.  Not only by your excellent talking but of your understanding of first, then, then, then, and last.  I mean I'm proud of you all the time but in that moment I was so proud of you.

Very cool.

Oh and you took this really cool self portrait (I hold the camera and you push the button):

Self portrait (she pushes the button)
