ELEVEN MONTHS OLD!

My Precious Baby,

In exactly one month, you will be a YEAR old! That is surreal to me. There are days where the hours literally fly by and then suddenly Dad is coming home and I can’t believe the day has passed. That is how these past eleven months have been for me. My tiny little baby isn’t that tiny anymore….tear….

So! The biggest thing that happened this past month occurred three days ago. You walked! All by your lonesome! It was THE cutest thing ever and I was so happy that you waited till Dad was there to see. Three wobbly Frankenstein steps. It was so random and out of the blue that me and Dad couldn’t believe that you were actually doing it.

AND!!! You are finally eating!!! You love avocados and any kind of noodle. You loathe anything sweet (which came as a shocker considering who your mother is) and never turn down a pretzel stick or gunja gunja snacks. You refuse to eat off a spoon or fork and can’t stand to be in your highchair at the moment. But I think that is a result of your increased mobility. You don’t like sitting still in anything for more than like 15 minutes. Car rides are just a blast these days.

You:
• Scream all the time just to hear your own voice. Literally scream.
• Are the quickest crawler I’ve ever had
• Have the best facial expressions
• Shake your head no and know exactly what it means
• Can clap if you want to
• Push your toy box all around the living room till it gets stuck on either the bookcase or the door frame and then scream and hit it
• Already (!!!) have some decent tantrums where you throw toys, hit, and scream/fake cry
• Have had baby time outs (which you obviously have no clue you are getting but I’m preparing you for what’s to come)
• Talk Talk Talk Talk Talk Talk Talk – ALL THE TIME! Its adorable and I hope you never stop
• Turn the tv off and on about 30 times a day
• Are warming up to Sesame Street (and only when I sing all the songs they sing)
• Adore bath time
• Can stack blocks and help put the toys away
• Are up to about 15 books per one sitting – sometimes more
• Are OBCESSED with the dog’s cage
• Think that baby in the mirror is beyond adorable
• Can stand for forever now
• Take all your books off the book shelf and then turn the pages to them all by yourself now – so cute it’s ridiculous
• Will play by yourself for a good 10 minutes now
• Push your little lion all around the house but can’t seem to figure out to sit on him and move
• Officially have enough hair for a (tiny tiny) bow. YES!
• Drink water out of sippy cup (but not for reals – you just chew on it and when water comes out you swallow it)
• Say Mama, something that sounds like Dada, ba, and goo
• Giggle all the time now.
• Go to bed at 6pm and wake up on average twice a night and wake up before 5am and 6am
• Are still rocked to sleep every night and at naps
• Have basically wean yourself off the binky – you only want to fall asleep and spit it out once you nod off or when your teeth hurt
• Have 6 teeth with two more on their way

When Dad comes home you book down that hall to see him and then demand to be picked up. I still love that. He has buttons on his coat and I’m pretty sure its half excitement for Dad and half excitement for those buttons. You two have all these (bizarre) games you play which include power rings, jewish cookie jar, and some weird finger game.

I look at old pictures on your blog and watch old videos and I am just amazed at how you are this little person now. You have your own personality and you do all these weird little faces which totally crack us up. Oh and in anticipation of writing this letter, I counted how many times I kiss you in a day and no joke it was 82 and that was a slow day.

I Love You More Than You Will Ever Know,

Mommy
